Esther Heboyan is associate professor of American literature and cinema at the University of Artois in Arras, France. Her areas of specialization are literature of exile, cross-cultural communication, and visual narratives. She is also a translator (Turkish/French/ English/French) and a short-story writer. This reading will be in English. She will also give a presentation in French on Monday, March 12th entitled “La traduction malaisée de l’américain vers le français dans America America d’Elia Kazan” (MAT 0103, 4:05 pm).
